I've always thought that I take pictures because the world is there, not that the world is there so that I take photographs.
Ferdinando Scianna
After many years, this great Sicilian photographer who marked a turning point in photography comes back to Milan. Behind the camera lens since over fifty years, he was the first Italian to join the Magnum Photojournalism Agency. Scianna brings us into his world made of black and white memories, taking us through a journey of over 50 photographs dedicated to landscape.
A selection ranging from his beloved and always there Sicily to the heart of Europe, South America and Africa. An album of memories, a passionate romance with the landscape which has accompanied the artist since his early works, and will never abandon him. Whether it is an alleyway or a glimpse, his landscapes are soul encounters, moments of pure emotional intensity impressed on the film.
In addition to the photo exhibition, there is a room dedicated to the author's books: some of them have never been published and in this way complete Scianna’s "places"and make him the undisputed protagonist of the Italian photographic history.
Wish you a nice trip & rebirth!

Holiday air, wish for sunshine:
Summer is still far away, but thoughts fly and the body struggles to remain firmly grounded.
The air perfumes of mandarin, mulberry and fresh green nights when the wind blows leaves.
Eyes close so that imagination can flow better.
Few elements are needed to get this alchemy, few as good friends are:
How much joy thinking to find them all together, waiting for us.
Summer rebirth of colors and fragrances, green and light
Like our wonderful hopes.
Let's go on the orange flowers path.
“Jonathan Seagull discovered that boredom and fear and anger are the reasons that a gull's life is so short, and with those gone from his thought, he lived a long fine life indeed.”
Jonathan teaches us to live in a perennial rebirth, be convinced that we’re different from the others because we tirelessly try to learn, without discouraging when facing others’ hostility. Being born again after every mistake, every failed attempt, being always ready to get up in the game, being surprised by our own limits, like they were not ours.
Like Jonathan, live happily trying to always improve yourself and sharing the freedom of your own choices.
Thanks Jonathan!

Some places are perfect to enjoy regenerating and absolutely peaceful moments, because of the beauty of the surrounding landscape, the history and the mystical silence that envelops them.
Today we present you the Sanctuary of Cavriana, in the province of Mantua, a well preserved architectural jewel which dates back to Romanesque.
The church, built in the Twelfth Century using only bricks, stands isolated on a hill and it is surrounded by a lovely flower garden, which houses some memorial stones dedicated to some Risorgimento battles.
There is a bell tower which helps giving a sense of organic unity to the entire building. Why don't you spend a weekend laying on the lawn in contemplation of this place's magic, smelling the floral scents in the air?
It's a guaranteed moment of pure rebirth.
Let the contemplation begin!
