#15 Springtime: get back in touch with nature
The awakening of nature does not always coincide with a burst of energy for us, men and women fatigued from Winter.
Often in Spring we feel exhausted, frustrated even with little setbacks and the typical unstable weather of this season. What should we do to find again some harmony with the soft green of the newborn leaves on the branches?
The answer is as obvious as wise: take your time. Take time to retrieve the lost vitality and to recover, pampering yourself with exclusive moments dedicated only to you. Colours, flavours, fragrances: any positive stimulus contributes to get back in touch with the environment that surrounds us. Nature, with its renewal, reminds us that, although we feel tired and humble, we are all part of the Wonderful.

TALES IN MILAN
#15 T-YONG CHUNG AT FONDERIA ARTISTICA BATTAGLIA
Milan has a discreet charm that is difficult to grasp at first glance, as it is often hidden by the common belief that it is only a bustling, frenzy business city.
But its beauty can be seen even in the factories, as there are many manufacturing excellences.
Among others, Fonderia Artistica Battaglia, a foundry that produces bronze sculptures since 1913. An incredible wealth of expertise that dialogues with the artists and their creativity since the foundation, so that in recent years the project Open Studio has been created, through which the Foundry supports young Italian and foreign artists through the lost-wax bronze casting process. Artists are also given the opportunity to show their work in a personal exhibition held at the historical headquarter in via Stilicone 10.
The most recent project to be held at Fonderia Battaglia is that of T-Yong Chung, a Korean artist now based in Milan, who used bronze for the first time in his life.
Produced by Tender to Art, Tendercapital’s visual arts hub, the focus of the installation is a bronze sculpture of a young girls bust classically and figuratively molded, which the Korean artist has reinterpreted based on his usual technique to decontextualize a western iconographic symbol, through incisions and surface polishing.
For T-yong Chung Lavinia, Latinus and Amata’s daughter, Aeneas’s second wife, portrayed as a child, represents Mediterranean femininity, the purity and the complexity of a woman figure. Lavinia is an installation through which the shaping of a bronze bust using different materials and colors (plaster, clay, colored wax), are absorbed by the young face portrayed during the process itself. The result is an identifiable process of a cycle that repeats itself.
An exhibition that moves from tradition to innovation, from identity to evolution, a mix of contradictions that perfectly portrays Milan’s complexity.

#14 Jorn de Précy, The Lost Garden
A passionate and even political memoir, a contemporary challenge through a vibrant and modern language, which Jorn de Précy invites us to: create gardens!
Real gardens, of course, indomitable, outlaw places. Gardens listening to the genius loci, where to find the true humanity that man will have to go back learning, creating with nature.
Yes, there are still enchanted shelters in this world, far from the perversions of civilization, in which we can find the dialogue and familiarity with nature, what makes us human and worthy of the good that life offers.
Go through gardens, in those abandoned and wild, and here’s a long list: Sceaux, Kelmscott, the Italian gardens, cradle of each poem, up to Greystone, the garden re-created by the author. Real places where the presence we perceive when we come in awakens something in us, calls us, maybe was waiting for us.
Go there but above all re-create them: wild gardens, always bustling, a concentrated of life.
Uninterrupted vital luxury (the Tao of the Chinese wise men, the Way, everything is in the Tao and trying to get away from Tao is just cause of unhappiness), the time of the garden is that of life that roots us in the here and now.

#14 Be born again in the “Jara”
Sardinia, you know, is a land full of surprises. The Giara di Gesturi ( "Jara" in local language) is one-of-a-kind place in the heart of the island.
This plateau contains an exceptional floral and faunal wealth in its 42 square kilometers, though maintaining a high level. Cork and holm oak trees alternate with fragrant plants such as myrtle and strawberry trees. The Giara is the ideal habitat of our helichrysum, which stretches out of sight. Spring is definitely the time of year when colours and scents intoxicate visitors, who walk among blooming colourful wild orchids and rock roses.
On the plateau more than 350 different plant species have been identified, some of them are pretty rare like Morisia Monantha, a small perennial plant that blooms from January to April. Last but not least the large population of wild horses with the typical long mane, an endemic race of the Jara, which gives a special emotion to the lovers of spontaneous nature.
