A genuine place for Rebirth in the heart of Milan
Ahistorical garden created byMariaTeresa Queen of Austria in 1774, the Brera Botanical Garden preserves evidencesof the past and today represents a peaceful and quiet interlude in city’s frenzy.
All around there’s the bustling fashion district, but as you leave thegates behind you’ll find an enchanted and poetic place where you can have awalk or take a break observing trees, an interesting collection of medicinalplants or the mix ofspring bulbsandperennial plants. Two ellipticalwater basins date back to 1700, while the greenhouse was built in 1800 (today itis used as a classroom by the Academy of Fine Arts) together with the small Specola and the flower beds.
Our olfactory notes and even our Helichrysum, the active ingredient of Rebirth, crop out amidst the sublime paths of theOrto. What can express our philosophy better? An invitation to carve outtime for ourselves to visit this corner of Milan, an inspiring gift that ourcity offers us to come back to our inner self completely regenerated.

Or the artistic essence of Milan
We walk for Milan and occasionally weraise our gaze, because our city amazes us with lots of architectural wonders. Sowe bump into a fantastic Liberty building in Via Malpighi 3: the facade of CasaGalimberti has floral patterns and ceramic tiles motifs, in a great celebrationof Liberty style.
The decorations, entirely made of painted fired ceramics, leave us open-mouthed for their richness and their colours.
On the first floor shapely female figures are depicted, while on the other floors gorgeous floral patterns follow one another with wrought iron decorations that complete the façade. We love getting lost in Milan, in search of the quiet beauty of historic homes; we love the details, the preciousness of every line, of every aspect of Liberty creations, which also inspired YouFirst Pura Rinascita logo, with its flourished weave and its lightness.
Milan’s design has its roots deep in here.

Milan is continuously having a dialogue between its past and its present and Hangar Bicocca is an example of this need.
Raised on the remains of an industrial plant, Hangar Bicocca is a space dedicated to contemporary art, presenting some of the most important international artists’ personal exhibitions, artists who are characterized by a natural talent for research and experimentation and whose installations can relate with the space and the visitors.
Cross the area, imagine it in its evolutions through time, then an industrial plant and now oneof the biggest contemporary art museums in Europe.
Change represents also this: our capability to treasure our heritage and to reinterpret and reuseit wisely. A Rebirth of spaces, of ideas and also of wellness habits.
Simple gestures tofind the key to our own evolution and the capability to reinvent ourselves.

Art and Rebirth, both united bycraftsmanship that continues over time and flourishes over and over again. Welove things that last over time and know how to reinvent themselves.
The Curti furnace reflects this capability and fascinates us for its handicraft heritage, which has remained untouched over centuries.
We went to have a look at the oldest furnace of Milan, established in 15th century at the behest of Bianca Maria Visconti, wife of Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan. The furnace started producing tiles and bricks and was entrusted to Giosuè Curti, a nobleman at Sforza’s service.
The cotto tiles of the Curti furnace are created using clays from the Po valley, that make it hard but also water permeable and insulating in case of frost. It is fired at over 1000 ° C for 24 hours and this process turns the initially greyish clay in the typical Lombard deep red terracotta. A process that is not only chemical but also immensely artistic. We are proud to share the same craftsmanship and quality research with this historic furnace, both in the raw materials and in the care for the product.

Design is part of our lives and influence of our imagination; what we create takes inspiration from our heritage and the works of the great designers of the past . Our must-see in Milan is the studio of the architect Achille Castiglioni, winner for several times of the Compasso D'Oro. His objects , recognizable for the functionality, are exhibited at MOMA and in the most important museums in the world , while others are part of our daily lives. In this study, Castiglioni has worked for over 60 years now and now it has been kept as it was: you can breathe here the air of creativity and perceive energy and passion. The same energy and passion that are key factors for our inner happiness , that push us to reborn day after day and face new challenges, maybe also thanks to the time and little moments we are able to dedicate to ourselves, with a care, a special fragrances or an energizing body cream.
Rebirth means meeting new people and learning new things. A lovely find, a hidden corner that you want to keep to yourself, a place where the magic of the past creates a poetic atmosphere. With these thoughts in mind we found, in a ravine of the waterway, Vicolo Lavandai, where there was and still is intact a centrifuge - until the 50s women came here to wash clothes and linens. With the joy of having found a spot of calm we are peacefully lulled by the sound of the water - in Milanese it’s called el fossett. We are very close to the center of Milan but the water and the tranquility around make us forget the noise and speed of the city. Next to the water stream– in the 1800 here there were men taking care of the cleaning - there was a small shop of soaps and brushes, now a charming bistro. A renaissance minute in our afternoon, reassuring everyday gestures that accompany us to the rediscovery of an intimate contemplative pleasure. How to light a scented candle to create a special atmosphere.
Are we still be able to be amazed? How often do we really stop for a moment being struck at seeing something unexpectedly unique and beautiful?
Today we take the path of wonder, walking in the heart of Milan, and, through the arch of Via Salvini designed by Piero Portaluppi we reach Villa Invernizzi.
Immediately we recapture the excitement and wonder of our childhood: from the street we catch a glimpse of a small group of pink flamingos in the garden. Every day many stop to observe, through the eyes of an unexpected encounter, this tiny colony of flamingos that elegantly moves between green spaces, sporting the thick pink plumage. The garden also has a small lake where in summer the flamingos find some coolness: this garden represents a poetic as well as exotic oasis in Milan, an unexpected surprise and a street, Via Cappuccini, which is a legacy for the city. We suddenly recover the charm of a special fragrance, reminding us the most magical moments of our past, making us relive unique and valuable emotions.
Discover the wonder around us… Rebirth also means to walk around with no hurries and be lost among the streets of Milan, entering into its courts… Our path starts right in the heart of the city, in Via Rossini 3: a magical spot, cradle of art and design, consisting of a system of courts that since the late nineteenth century have been home of creativity and genius. Among the others, worked here the sculptor Medardo Rosso, the designer Marcello Nizzoli and the painter Lucio Fontana.
Today the same poetic ateliers host artists, architects, artisans and creativeness in all its variety, to witness the perpetual fervent industriousness of Milan. Just indulge for a second, enter here by leaving the boredom outside, live a rebirth moment contemplating this fabulous spot… Here is for the curious ones, for who wakes up in the morning with the desire of wonder. Here is to discover an eclectic space for architecture and its vibrant activities. A magical and refined one, always called “ The house of the artists .”
These courtyards for us represent at best the concept of rebirth: here the floral crown that is part of our logo was conceived and born in a cold but sunny morning of last winter. In another way, we received from this special spot, rich of heritage, the lifeblood of creativity that animates the You First Pura Rinascita project.
