#13 Milan's State University becomes an open-air museum
There are places where the spirit finds its home, triggering inside each of us genuine affection and pure nostalgia. The State University of Milan in Via Festa del Perdono is one of them, combining the cloisters and courtyards’architectural beauty to a honorable assignment, as it welcomes the Milanese and foreign students of the humanities on a daily basis. What a wonderful harmony is the union of history, youth and knowledge in your own city! In this period contemporary art is also added to this happy marriage, as the second edition of "La Statale Arte" begins. In fact, Ca 'Granda’s “Cortile d'Onore” (“courtyard of honour”) hosts artist and designer Nanda Vigo’s “Exoteric Gate” until March 11th , 2017. The installation is composed by eight pyramids of different heights and a central cylinder, which involves the viewer in a multisensory experience, as the movement of light suggests a new space-time dimension. The project summarises the author’s research on chronotypes, which she started in the 60s.
On Thursdays and Fridays from 5.30 pm to 7.00pm it will also be possible to participate in guided tours led by students of Cultural Heritage and Art History.

#13 Resilience, an essential capability
Among the crucial abilities that are necessary during life, there is one that is usually underestimated compared to some more obvious emotions or reactions: it is resilience. In psychology, resilience means "the ability to cope in a positive way with traumatic events, positively reorganise one’s life when facing difficulties and rebuild oneself remaining sensitive to the opportunities that life offers, without alienating one’s identity." In other words, resilience is knowing how to manage important and disturbing changes, adapting to the new situation while maintaining your own essence. Everything can reinvent itself thanks to this marvelous capability, keeping uniqueness unchanged even in adversity. A real quiet renaissance perpetuates and manifests itself as self-healing, as affirmation of oneself in spite of everything. In this wonderful individual path we believe that together with awareness also a kind of lightness grows, a lightness that must not be confused with the vacuous superficiality and that goes hand in hand with the power of wisdom. #12 Torre Guaceto Natural Reserve
The Mediterranean area is a priceless gem, because it combines history, nature and dream like no other place in the world. So we celebrate its value and richness, through another magical place: Torre Guaceto’s Natural Reserve, in Salento (Apulia).
The area is one of major interest to the WWF since the 70s, and it has been recognised as a marine reserve since 1991 and in 2000 it obtained the status of Natural Reserve.
The territory is characterised by a great variety: the traditional agricultural system of the inner part is opposed by a vast natural area of Mediterranean scrub, which gives way to towering sand dunes by the sea. Just over the 8-km – long coast, there are some small wetlands, which are particularly interesting in terms of wildlife and floral habitats, as they are extremely vital and rich in biodiversity.
Silent guardian of such beauty, the massive Tower offers visitors a cool shelter and the chance to join the guided tour. The Marine Park features also a sailing centre and the new sea turtle recovery centre, which opened last year.
