TALES IN MILAN

VILLA NECCHI CAMPIGLIO
MICHELE DEL RE, IL SEGRETO DEL GIARDINO DEL SOGNO

Villa Necchi Campiglio is a magnificent treasure ofart and architecture in the centre of Milan.
Certainly one might linger on the up-to-dateamenities of this villa, built by Piero Portaluppi between 1932 and 1935 forthe family of Angelo Campiglio, his wife Gigina Necchi and his sister-in-lawNedda.But this residence, donated to FAI
(FondoAmbiente Italiano - The National Trust for Italy)andbecome a house museum, hits for the enchantment feeling that is given to youwhile wandering from a room to another: we are charmed not only by the rationalistic decorations but also by the magnificent dresses, still perfectly set in the wardrobes, that carry us to parties in other time periods.
Strolling in the park is a genuine Rebirth experience, being accompanied by the soothingsound of water, swept away by the poetry of flowers , plants and gardens. Somegenerous gifts of works of art embellish the Villa, such as the Vase by Fausto Melotti and a largepainting called Monument to the FallenRacers by Felice Casorati, representing a true You First moment.
